Hey guys! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! I saw A LOT of proposals over the holidays (CONGRATULATIONS!!) and figured now would be a great time to kind of talk through the wedding planning process.
So you got engaged over Christmas, now what?
First, you need to decide with your fiancé the general time when you want to get married. Choose a few dates, in case the venue is already booked for one of them.
Next, you're going to need to find a venue. We have a great list of questions for you to ask your venue staff here! (Also, check out Bright Star Ranch for your venue, we would love to show you around our Franklin venue!)
After you put down your deposit with the venue, you can start asking bridesmaids and groomsmen and choosing other vendors such as caterers, photographers, and DJs! Ask for a sample of their services and read reviews online about these vendors!
Once all of the bigger details are handled, start planning decorations and smaller parts that will really make your wedding unique and a night to remember. This could be providing dancing shoes, or planning a fun exit for you and your groom!
Once the wedding gets closer, all of the events and festivities begin! Your bridesmaids should throw you a bridal shower, so make sure to get those thank you notes out promptly after that! You will have a bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner, and then the big day will come!
This time is so special and won't happen again (hopefully). Enjoy your engagement and don't let the little things stress you out!
