Wedding Stationery

I am obsessed, yes OBSESSED with wedding stationery. I have a Pinterest board for it on the Bright Star Ranch Pinterest and my own that are both overflowing with gorgeous ideas for everything from save the dates to thank you cards. Today I'm going to take you through a few of my favorites and explain the elements that really make stationery go from pretty to perfect. Let's get started!

For this design, I think that the best element is flow. Throughout each separate insert, and even into the envelope, the design aspects stay the same. If you click on the image, it will take you to the website where you can order these. A fun little addition to this design is that the background color is customizable!

A lot of brides are going for a natural look (and I'm loving it) and this subtle floral design really adds to that theme in a great way!

This next design is made by @goodheartdesign on instagram. The overarching element that takes these invites up a notch is the dramatic colors. The design for these are so great because they found a way to incorporate colors that can sometimes be overwhelming and they made them complementary instead!

Adding some darker colors into your inserts or invitation can give your stationery a more bold look and add some elegance to them!

Our final example today is a great example of how simple can still be great. This stationery set can be bought off of etsy and it's boldness comes in the calligraphy and the style. When stationery has a complex design, it is typically best to go with a simple font so as not to overwhelm the design. However with this monochromatic style, there is room for some creativity in the writing. Another feature that I love about this is the envelope calligraphy. I realize that this can be a real pain, but in my opinion it just adds some personality to each invitation and will make your guests feel very special.

I hope that this has given you some ideas for your own stationery set. If you need even more inspiration, check out our stationery Pinterest board!
